#4. Keyboard shortcuts and a secret border

Here are two shortcuts which I feel you will find very useful.
Shortcut #1: Press “T” in the Canva Design to bring up a Textbox at the top of the design.
Shortcut #2: Put a border arount it!. Press “ALT” + “SHIFT” + “B”.

#5. Text Box

I love this short cut and I am sure you will love it too.

In Canva you have to go all the way to the text section and then select the text boxes to actually write something on the design. Seems like too many unnecessary clicks.
With this trick, you simply have to press “t” on your keyboard and a text box will appear.

#5. Move Elements With Arrow Keys

It is sweet when things are just perfectly aligned at your first attempt right but sometimes I find myself unable to judge the alignment.

You can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move or shift an element by just 1px.

#6. Convert To Uppercase

If you want to turn all the letters to Capital, just select the letters and hit CMD+SHIFT+K or CTRL in windows

and use CMD + Z to undo.

#7. Add A Border Around Your Text

A border around text can create an organized and neat effect.

You can hit OPTION + SHIFT + B or ALT + SHIFT + B on windows and Canva will automatically add a border around your text.

#8. Select Elements Behind Other Elements

I have spent ridiculous amount of time in Canva just to try and get to element which is layered deep behind other layers of other elements without disturbing my meticulously laid out graphic.

If you are a regular Canva user you must have struggled with this too.

There is an easer way to go about this. Just select the element at the top and enter CMD+CLICK till your element is selected.

Windows users use CTRL instead of CMD.

#8. The Grid

If you want to perfectly align all your elements in Canva, you definitely need to work with Grid Lines.

Just click CMD + ; or CTRL + ; and these grey grid lines will appear on your art board.

#9. Search

I go back and forth over this. I use it sometimes and the other times I just click on search whichever is convenient at the time. Nevertheless, here is a shortcut for using the search box.

CMD + ? or CTRL + ?

So here you go, these are some of the Canva hacks that I figured out. Some of these through research and most of them when I was stuck facing a problem.
